Paradise Valley Fire District firefighters recently acquired a wildland firefighting vehicle as a result of a Community Investment Grant from the TransCanada Charitable Foundation. The newly acquired four-wheel-drive brush truck is light, highly mobile, and can deliver 200 gallons of water and up to four firefighters and all their gear in response to a wildland fire. “We are very thankful to TransCanada for their support of Paradise Valley, and this brush truck has already proven itself vital to firefighting within our district and within Boundary County,” said Mike Glazier, PVFD Fire Chief. TransCanada supports communities in which it operates, and part of the company’s natural gas pipeline runs through the Paradise Valley Fire District.
